When you have selected a Documaker element, it appears as a Word content control, with a blue tab stating the name of the element, and the text of the element in a blue box that just below the tab:
Any text you enter will be added to the contents of this element.
Note | To fully display content controls, ensure that the Word document view (Views > Document Views) is set to Print Layout or Web Layout. |
If you hover your mouse over the element without clicking it, blue content control highlighting appears, indicating the area of the element. The element itself is not selected, so any changes you make to the document will not be made to the element.
To display again the name of the element, click anywhere within the blue shaded area, and the element name reappears:
Warning | Use only the Add-In’s Edit function to change the properties of an element. Do not directly edit a Content Control using Word’s functionality. This can cause the element to become corrupt and not convert correctly in Studio. |
