16 GB dual-rank (2Rx4) DIMMs are now available from Oracle for the Netra SPARC T4-2 server. Until now, only the 16 GB quad-rank DIMMs were supported.
 | Caution - The 16 GB dual-rank (2Rx4) DIMMs can not be mixed with the 16 GB quad‐rank (4Rx4) DIMMs on the server. Your service representative can help determine the type of 16 GB DIMMs in your server. |
System firmware version 8.2.1.b or newer is required for use with the 16 GB dual‐rank (2Rx4) DIMMs. The system firmware 8.2.1.b is available for download from My Oracle Support at:
