All DIMMs installed in the server module must be the same type of DIMM (same capacity and same rank classification).

The 16-Gbyte dual-rank and the 32-Gbyte quad-rank DIMMs require system firmware version 8.1.2.b or later. See Minimum Supported Versions of the OS, Firmware, and Software.
