Using Live Upgrade to Create a Boot Environment (Tasks)

This chapter explains how to install Live Upgrade, a feature of Oracle Solaris, packages and patches and to create a boot environment.


Note - This chapter describes Live Upgrade for UFS file systems. For procedures for migrating a UFS file system to a ZFS root pool or creating and installing a ZFS root pool, see Chapter 13, Creating a Boot Environment for ZFS Root Pools.
