Conditional Requirements

A validation widget may be conditionally required based on the evaluation of an expression. As with conditional validation, perform the following steps:

  1. Create a function to test the condition.

  2. Reference the function from the requiredIf attribute on the widget. The following example tests a Commerce Service Center condition:

    <dsp:tagAttribute name="requiredIf"
      value="atg.commerce.csr.rule0.apply()"/>

This creates a widget that will perform required checks only when the condition applies, but will always perform validation checks when the widget contains data.
