5 Working With the Enterprise Server

5.1 Starting and Shutting Down Network Services on the Enterprise Server

The network services are started when you do the following steps:

1. Log on to the Enterprise Server as ONEWORLD.

2. Select the E900SYS version and type:

   GO A98OWMNU

3. Start services by selecting option 5.

4. You can end services by selecting option 6 on this menu.

5.2 Verifying the Release 9.0 Enterprise Server Installation Using PORTTEST

To verify the Enterprise Server installation using PORTTEST:

1. Log on to the Enterprise Server as ONEWORLD.

2. Select the E900SYS version and type:

   GO A98OWMNU

3. Start PORTTEST by selecting option 4 and type in the following arguments.

   Enter this command for each environment, for example:

This program initializes a user and an environment (assuming Release 9.0 is installed and configured correctly). The program displays messages that indicate the selection of records from a Release 9.0 table. If it does not, review the jde_xxxxxx.log file in the IFS directory path /JDE900.
