An Organization Chart is a visual representation of reporting hierarchies in an organization. You can use the organization chart to view person assignment details and perform self-service actions if you have security access.
Navigate to the Organization Chart using your self-service responsibility, Organization Chart menu. When you navigate to the Organization Chart, the chart highlights the logged in person's card.
The chart displays the hierarchy structure based on the selected person. For example, if the selected person is a manager, then you can view three levels of hierarchy: the selected person's supervisor, the selected person, and the directs of the selected person.
You can switch between vertical layout and horizontal layout. You can also zoom to the level that is right for you to view the reporting structure. You can print the displayed organization chart in PDF format.
You can view person details regardless of the security profiles set up in your enterprise.
To search for a person and view the person's details or reporting structure, enter the last name or first name as the search criteria. In the search results list, select the required person. After you view the details of the selected person, click the Home button to return to the logged in person's organization chart.
On a person's card, use icons to view hierarchy and person's details.
Click the Hierarchy icon to view the selected person's hierarchy.
Click the Details icon to display the selected person's Details card. On the Details card, you can:
View contact information such as work phone and email.
View assignment details such as organization, position, job, grade, location, and employment category.
On the Details Card:
Click the Organization Chart icon to view the person's hierarchy.
Perform an action from the Select Actions list.
For your own card, you can perform the personal self-service actions. When you select an action, the related Employee Self-Service action page appears in a new tab. Complete the action, submit for approval, and close the tab. You can return to the Organization Chart to perform further actions.
As a manager, you can perform actions for your direct reports. On a direct report’s person card, when you select an action, the related Manager Self-Service action page appears in a new tab. Complete the action, submit for approval, and close the tab. You can return to the Organization Chart to perform further actions.
Note: If the Select Actions list is not visible on a person's card, then it means that you do not have access to that person's record based on the configured security.
To use the OJET-Based Organization Chart, an administrator must assign the Self-Service Organization Chart Menu (HR_ORG_CHART_MENU) to the following Oracle SSHR responsibilities:
Manager Self Service (HR_LINE_MANAGER_ACCESS_V4.0)
Employee Self-Service (HR_EMPLOYEE_DIRECT_ACCESS_V4.0)

Set the security profiles according to your business requirements to ensure that managers cannot view salary information or perform manager actions of persons who are not in their reporting hierarchy.
The following predefined menus are associated with the Organization Chart.
Personal Actions Menu
The Personal Actions menu controls which functions are available to a user on the Personal Actions page. This menu also controls which functions are available from the Actions page when the manager selects their own record.
Manager Actions Menu
The Organization chart uses the person-based supervisor hierarchy type to display direct reports of a manager. The person card in the Organization Chart displays the Actions link. Managers can click the Actions link and select a self-service transaction in the Actions list. This Actions list is driven by the predefined Manager Actions Menu (HR_LINE_MANAGER_FUNCTIONS).
Note: If you want to configure the Select Actions list according to your business requirements, then you must create custom menus using the predefined menus.
Organization Chart for Contingent Workers
If you want to enable contingent workers to use the Organization Chart feature, then you must create custom contingent worker menu and add the Organization Chart functions.
