A. Previously Documented Bugs That Were Fixed in the Oracle Solaris 10 1/13 Release
This section describes compiler related issues that apply to Oracle Solaris 10 OS.
An executable file that is generated by Oracle Solaris Studio 12.3, 1/13 Platform Specific Enhancement, on Fujitsu M10 systems running Oracle Solaris 10 1/13 does not run if the source file is compiled with any of the following options:
-fast
-xtarget=native
-xtarget=native64
-xtarget=sparc64x
-xarch=native
-xarch=sparcace
The program does not run and an error message similar to the following is displayed:
ld.so.1: a.out: fatal: a.out: hardware capability (CA_SUNW_HW_1) unsupported: 0x1000 [ RANDOM ] Killed
Note - This issue occurs if you are using Oracle Solaris Studio 12.3 1/13 on a Fujitsu M10 system that runs the Oracle Solaris 10 1/13 release.
Workaround: Compile the program by using any of the following options:
-fast -xtarget=sparc64vii
-xtarget=sparc64vii
-xarch=sparcima
