Use the Create Volume page to:
Create a new ASM volume by specifying its name and size
Set the redundancy and striping attributes for the ASM Volume in the Show Advanced Options section.
Element | Description |
---|---|
Volume | Specify a name for the ASM volume. |
Disk Group Name | ASM disk group name for the volume. Select a disk group on which you want to create the ASM volume, from the drop-down box. |
Disk Group Free Space (GB) | Indicates the amount of free space (in GB) available in the disk group that can be safely utilized. |
Disk Group Usable Space (GB) | Indicates the usage (in GB) that is specified for this volume. It need not be ACFS only. |
Size | ASM volume size in GB, MB, or TB. |
Redundancy | By default, an ASM volume inherits its redundancy attribute from the disk group. You can also change the default value set to High, Normal, or External redundancy.
External Redundancy disk groups support only UNPROTECTED volumes and High Redundancy disk groups support only high redundancy volumes. |
Striping | The following attributes can be set for striping.
