The following topics introduce the new and changed features of Oracle WebCenter Content and other significant changes that are described in this guide, and provide pointers to additional information.
This guide is a new edition of the formerly titled Oracle Fusion Middleware System Administrator's Guide for Oracle WebCenter Content. It has been restructured to present information consistent with other Oracle Fusion Middleware administrative documentation.
For 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.8), this guide has been updated in several ways. Following are additions or changes in content:
The Admin Server page no longer has its own user interface page. The tools that used to be launched from the Admin Server page can now be called from the Administration tray or menu: General Configuration, Component Manager, Internet Configuration, and Content Security. See Section 2.3.1.1.
Updated information on using the System Audit Information page to access status information for Content Server. See Section 5.4.
Added information on starting and stopping an Inbound Refinery instance. See Section 3.2.
Added information about monitoring an Inbound Refinery instance using Oracle Fusion Middleware Enterprise Manager. See .
Several Internet configuration settings for a Content Server instance cannot be modified through the user interface: Use SSL, HTTP Address, and SMTP Port. See Section 8.2.3 and Section 8.5.
The HttpBrowserAdminUsesAbsolutePath
and HttpBrowserUseAdminSSL
configuration variables, used in web browser URL customization, are no longer supported because of the change in the location of admin services (for the Admin Server). The Admin Server path (set by httpAdminCgiPath
) is now calculated the same way as regular Content Server path (set by httpCgiPath
).
Added information about using the Update Component Configuration page to modify configuration settings for certain Content Server components. See Section 9.5.
