Example Using Sales and Costs Dashboards

Both documents contain a summary query that can be processed by using the Query Panel and a pivot from which detailed information is obtained using the Drill Across component. You can obtain additional detail for sales or costs using the drill across target in the same document, or by obtaining detailed sales or costs information using the drill across target in the other document. For example, from the sales dashboard you can drill across to the costs dashboard to acquire further information.

Inter-document communication is managed by settings in the IDC Table, which is an imported data file from an Excel spreadsheet, or is created as a query from a central database. The table and column names can be configured or reconfigured through the Drill Across Properties configuration frame. See Using the Drill Across Properties Frame.
