The Workspace Alert component contains a Workspace Alert Properties frame to configure Workspace Alert Interactive Reporting documents using tables. You can create a summary table (see Creating Summary Tables) or use an available table. Tables are configured to display the data monitored. A system filter in the table bypasses other filters on the column being evaluated. The component tests for any outlying rows from the threshold filter, and any remaining rows are reported as an alert or exception. A list of tables is displayed under Table Sections. Tables that contain exception items include the hidden column _sysException.
If rows are visible after processing a query and applying a filter, an alert or exception has occurred, and an output.properties file is created. Notification of no exceptions also occur. Click Apply in Workspace Alert Properties to create an orcl_Exception.txt file containing the exception data. For more information on exceptions and alerts, see “Using Exceptions” in the Hyperion Workspace User's Guide.
Alerts are available to users when they subscribe to job output, and are displayed in EPM Workspace Personal Pages, e-mails, or dashboards. See Displaying Exceptions or Alerts.
Note:
Interactive Reporting Studio documents that use the Workspace Alert component to report alerts or exceptions must be configured as a jobs in EPM Workspace.
Note:
In EPM Workspace, only one alert per Interactive Reporting Studio document is displayed at a time, otherwise an error occurs.
