Using a Runtime Release of the Point of View Component

  To use the POV component:

1. In Interactive Reporting Studio, open a dashboard that is configured with the POV component.

2. Optional: Perform an action if prompted:

   • If a Point of View login screen is displayed:

     • Enter your login and password for each POV URL, and click OK.

       Your credentials are stored for that session. You can select multiple URLs before you enter your login information.

     • Click on the toolbar to begin using your document.

   • To remove the Point of View login and password information from your Interactive Reporting document, click Yes, and save your document.

3. Navigate to a frame that contains a POV embedded browser.

4. Set filters by selecting one or a combination of these actions:

   • From the Filters drop-down list, select items

   • Use Quick Filters or Quick Slice on the side-label navigation panel, if these options are configured

   If the dashboard developer enabled Automatically refresh when Filters are set, the refreshed frames reflect the filters. If the option is not enabled, click .

   A POV embedded browser is refreshed only if the applied filter is associated with the POV URL attributes. See Using Map URL Attributes.

5. Optional: If configured, share an embedded browser among multiple POVs to reduce the size of the space used, by selecting an option button. See Accessing Multiple Point of View Embedded Browsers with Option Buttons.
