Using Integration Services Shell

This chapter describes the commands supported by Essbase Integration Services Shell, the command-line tool provided with Integration Services. The majority of these commands provide the same functionality available through Essbase Integration Services Console. You use Integration Services Shell commands and scripts to create Essbase outlines and loadEssbase databases.

If you schedule member or data loads using Integration Services Console, Integration Services automatically creates an Integration Services Shell batch file and a corresponding .cbs file in the Batch directory. You can modify and reuse the.cbs file for future member and data loads.
