Assigning Hyperion Enterprise Import Common Information

You use the Edit Hyperion Enterprise Import Map—Common tab to select the Hyperion Enterprise organization and name.

  To map Hyperion Enterprise import common information:

  1. Create an Hyperion Enterprise import map.

    See Creating Hyperion Enterprise Import or Export Maps.

  2. Select Common.

    Edit Hyperion Enterprise Import Map—Common displays the current Hyperion Enterprise application and the current Hyperion Enterprise organization.

  3. In Default Name, select the entity.

  4. Optional: To map values with multiple Hyperion Enterprise Account and Name combinations, select Prompt for name when importing data? if the Strategic Finance target for multiple source names is in Hyperion Enterprise.

    For instance, if California and Illinois are regions in your Hyperion Enterprise application, you could map subaccounts of Sales in Strategic Finance from Sales/California and Sales/Illinois in Hyperion Enterprise.

  5. Optional: To enable importing data from multiple names, select HSF file contains more than one name?

    This option is valid only for map files with default names in Hyperion Enterprise applications.

  6. Optional: To import data from Hyperion Enterprise in the same scale of units in Strategic Finance, select Scale data imported from Hyperion Enterprise?

    For example, if the Strategic Finance file is scaled in millions of dollars and the value of Sales in Hyperion Enterprise is 17:

    • Selected—17 imports as 17 million.

    • Deselected—17 imports as 17.

    If valid Hyperion Enterprise data imports as zero, select this option.
