About Entity Change Manager

Entity Change Manager ensures uniformity among entities by controlling bulk metadata changes through one entity. Using Entity Change Manager, you can manage these categories of metadata:

To use Entity Change Manager, you first create an ECM (Entity Change Manager) document. In the ECM document, you select a base entity and multiple target entities. You make structural changes to subaccounts and/or time periods in the base entity, and run Entity Change Manager on the ECM document to copy those changes to the target entities.

Before you use Entity Change Management, it must be enabled on the Strategic Finance server using the Administrator utility—contact your Strategic Finance administrator.

Note:

If you are not connected to a server or this functionality has not been enabled, Entity Change Manager is unavailable.
