Use the Generate Table of Contents option on the Report menu to rebuild the table of contents after you make changes in your report layout.
When you select this option, SQR Production Reporting Studio deletes any individual table of contents entries you defined. To avoid this, use the Generate Table of Contents option only if you defined group breaks and generate the table of contents based on those group breaks.
This option is designed to regenerate a table of contents that has already been created. (For example, you may want to regenerate the table of contents if you make changes in a report layout.)
In order for this option to work, you must have a report with group breaks and select Enable Table of Contents on the Table of Contents Preferences tab (File, then Preferences for a new report or Edit, then Preferences from an existing report).
If you choose Report, then Generate Table of Contents in a report for which you have not already enabled the table of contents and that does not have group breaks, nothing will happen.
