The Oracle Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 2 for Linux is a recommended kernel that is installed by default on Oracle Linux 5.9 and 6.3 and can be installed on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9, 6.3, and 6.4.
The Oracle Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 2 for Linux is the second major release of Oracle's heavily tested and optimized operating system kernel for Oracle Linux 5 and Oracle Linux 6. It is based on the 3.0.16 mainline Linux kernel and contains improvements and new features that have been incorporated into mainline Linux since the first version of the kernel.
