System Firmware and Software

The following lists the latest firmware available for the Sun Blade X6250 server module. Software is available from the Oracle web site (see Get Software and Firmware Downloads).

Note - Earlier versions of system software are documented in the Sun Blade X6250 Server Module Product Notes which is in archive mode and no longer being updated.

The Sun Blade X6250 server module might be equipped with one of two versions of the service processor software:

Older systems might be equipped with an Embedded Lights Out Manager (ELOM).
Newer systems or those that have been upgraded are equipped with the Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM). Either Oracle ILOM 2.0 or ILOM 3.0 are supported.

Review the appropriate table below that matches your version of service processor (ILOM or ELOM).

Note - Systems with older motherboards (375-3501-05 or older) can support CPLD levels up to 140. Systems with newer motherboards (375-3501-06 or newer) can support CPLD levels up to 307.

Systems with ILOM check the motherboard level and install the correct CPLD version. For systems with ELOM, you must check the motherboard level manually before updating the CPLD.

Do Not Update Firmware on 10Gb Network Express Module Using Oracle System Assistant (20367010)

Do not use Oracle System Assistant to update firmware on the 10Gb Network Express Module. Instead, use an alternative such as lsiutil.
