Use the Account Status dialog box to change an account's status.
| Field | Description |

| Status | Select the new status. |
| Status change effective date | If you select Inactive or Closed for the new status, you can make the change take effect immediately, schedule the change in the future, or backdate the change. |
| Select a reason | Select the reason that most closely matches the situation. |
| Notes | (Optional) Enter notes. |
