Oracle ATG Web Commerce applications write log files that contain operational information for reporting. Data warehouse loaders load this information in the data warehouse. See Components of Oracle ATG Web Commerce Business Intelligence.

Both Oracle ATG Web Commerce application servers and data warehouse loader servers must have access to the log files. As you configure the servers, you will need to know the directory in which one will write the files and the other will read them.

If the servers share a file system you can create a shared directory in which Oracle ATG Web Commerce application servers write files and the data warehouse loader server reads them. If the servers are separated from each other, you may need to implement a strategy for making the log files written by the Oracle ATG Web Commerce application servers available to the data warehouse servers.
