public class CryptographyException

extends RuntimeException

Cryptography exception. This exception is raised when there a problem is encountered using cryptography algorithms.

• Cause: An error was encountered while using a cryptography algorithm.
• Action: Most cryptography exceptions are caused by an exception from the cryptography algorithm implementation. Refer to the exception cause to further diagnose the error. Typical examples of a cryptography exception include attempting to generate a key for a key size that is not supported, or a failure to decrypt due to corrupt data.

The error message associated with this exception is:

IRM-01003: There has been an error using a cryptography algorithm.
