You can update a workspace definition file that has been generated by the Docupresentment Web Service.
A workspace definition file represents a “snapshot” of the data from a Studio workspace. When data is added, removed or changed in Studio, the workspace definition file becomes out of date. Therefore, you need to update your workspace definition file to ensure that you have the latest Studio workspace data.
Important | Updating a workspace definition file can change the field, graphic, recipient, trigger, and font resources available for your Documaker documents. |
Alternatively, right-click a workspace in the table, then select Update .
In the Save Workspace Definition File dialog, you can optionally select or create a new workspace definition file.
A status bar indicates the status of the update.
The workspace definition file is updated. However, if the update fails, ensure you have entered valid paths. Make any necessary changes, then click Update again to retry.
Note | If any new graphic file resources have been added to the workspace definition file, you will still need to obtain the actual files and place them in the Graphics folder on your system. You will need these graphic files if you want them to be displayed when inserting a graphic into a document. Otherwise, a placeholder graphic will be displayed instead. For more information, see Inserting a Missing or Mismatched Graphic. |
