Working with the P6 Team Member for iOS App
The P6 Team Member for iOS app is a native iOS application, or app, you can download to your iPhone or iPad. The primary function of P6 Team Member is to support remote updates to the status of your tasks. Task data is retrieved from and sent to your organization's central P6 server.
The app requires private network access from each mobile device to your organization's hosted Team Member Web Services. For example, your administrator may take care of setting up your access behind a firewall and may require that you establish virtual private network (VPN) access from your device to the server.
You should be familiar with the following concepts:
P6 Team Member Main Areas
The app includes three main areas: the app menu, the Task List, and the Details area.

App menu: To access the app menu, tap

Task List: The Task List lists tasks that your project manager has assigned to you. Each task is represented by a row that includes its name, percentage complete, and other information.

Details area: The Details area includes details and available settings associated with a task. To access the Details area, tap any task in the Task List. In the Details area, you can update task information and star tasks. Tools available in the toolbar also allow you to send task-related email and photos and read and post comments.

In the app menu, you can select Task List views, set the app to run offline or online (iPad only), change application and server settings, and view information about your P6 Team Member installation.
