eCodes

In some studies, sponsors reimburse patients and other study participants for their time spent completing questionnaires and diaries. Reimbursement is in the form of an electronic gift card, redeemed using an eCode sent to the recipient by email. During study design, the sponsor defines the triggers for eCode distribution.

The OutcomeLogix application assigns eCodes as patients or other study participants complete sessions, forms, or reach a designated study milestone. You can issue eCodes in multiple currencies, based on the localization parameters set for your site.

The OutcomeLogix application stores information about assigned eCodes, including the code, the person to whom it was sent, and the email address. If the eCode supply falls below a limit or is depleted, the OutcomeLogix application notifies the sponsor so that additional eCodes can be loaded. When the new eCode supply has been loaded, the OutcomeLogix application sends eCodes to the missed patients. If patients lose their assigned eCodes, the Help Desk can resend the eCodes by email.
