Making a site active or inactive

On the Manage Sites page, you can specify whether a site is active or inactive. You cannot enter data for patients assigned to inactive sites.

This option is useful when you need to assign site staff to a different site. Rather than deleting a site, you make it inactive, allowing you to activate it again at a different time. This is especially useful for studies that are being rolled out through a particular region or longitudinal studies where the site becomes active after a number of years; for example, every five years.

  1. Select Administration (Administration icon. Click to navigate to the Administration page.).
  2. Click Manage Sites.

    The Manage Sites page appears.

  3. Click the Edit link for the site.
  4. Set the Active field setting.
    1. To make the site active, select Yes.
    2. To make the site inactive, select No.
  5. Click Submit.
