Selecting a different patient during a visit
When you have a visit open, you can open a visit for another patient without returning to the Patient List page.
- On the navigation pane, type a complete or partial patient ID in the Patient ID text box and click
. To navigate to the previous or the next patient, click
or
. - If prompted, confirm that you want to open a new page by clicking OK.
If the requested patient's visit has the form, that form appears.
Navigation involving repeating forms or visits is more complicated.
- If you navigate from a repeating form, the application navigates to the base repeating form, rather than to a specific form.
- If you navigate from a repeating visit, the application navigates to the matching instance. For example, if the form is part of the third instance of the visit, the application opens the third instance of the form for the selected patient.
- If you navigate from an unscheduled visit, the application navigates between unscheduled visits if the user-assigned names for the visits are identical.
- If the application cannot find a matching form because there is no matching visit, the visit is inactive, or the form is unavailable, the application navigates to the Visit 1 Visit Landing page or the first form in Visit 1.
