The Sun Storage Common Array Manager (CAM) 6.10 release is available only for Solaris OS management hosts. CAM 6.10 for Linux and Windows hosts is in development and will be available once it is complete. Until then, continue to use CAM 6.9 for Linux and Windows, which is available from My Oracle Support (MOS) https://support.oracle.com .
This CAM 6.10 release note contains important information about:
Controller and disk firmware updates for 2530-M2, 2540-M2, 2510, 2530, 2540, 6180, and 6580/6780 arrays
Service Advisor ASR update
New functionality to clear controller recovery mode
Bug fixes that correct previous known software problems
Controller and disk firmware has been updated with this release. See the Sun Storage Common Array Manager Baseline Firmware Reference, Version 6.10 for more information.
Service Advisor has been modified to temporarily disconnect an array when you reserve a device for maintenance. This change prevents sending unnecessary Automated Service Requests (ASRs) to Oracle service during a maintenance procedure.
When you release an array from maintenance, ASR will be re-enabled.
With controller firmware 07.84, both controllers are placed in recovery mode each time you reset the array configuration using the CAM CLI or GUI. (Bug 16104490)
You can clear recovery mode in the following ways:
GUI: Open Service Advisor and go to Array Troubleshooting and Recovery > Cancel the Database Recovery Mode
CLI: Use the service command from this location:
Solaris OS: /opt/SUNWsefms/bin/
Enter the command:
service -d <arrayname> -c cancelDatabaseRecoveryMode
For example, the following command cancels recovery mode on the array named ‘unlabeled':
service -d unlabeled -c cancelDatabaseRecoveryMode
the device ‘unlabeled' Executing the cancelDatabaseRecoveryMode command on unlabeled Completion Status: Success
