Federal Bank, in conjunction with their partner Kovaion Consulting, expanded its existing PeopleSoft HCM implementation to a new business unit resulting in seamless onboarding, payroll processing, absence management, and HR processes for the expanded workforce.

Federal Bank has been utilizing PeopleSoft HCM modules—including core HR, Global Payroll for India, Absence Management, Performance Management, and Profile Management—since 2010. Additionally, we have built out several custom modules to manage specific business needs.

As part of this expansion, Federal Bank created a new sales channel division. In addition to expanding the use of PeopleSoft for this newly created division, Federal Bank decided to take advantage of new features delivered. We rolled out three major implementations:

  • Implemented a structured onboarding framework with pre-boarding and onboarding stages.
  • Enabled early engagement, data capture, and compliance before employee joining.
  • Pre-boarding (HR administrator-driven)
  • This module enables HR administrators and managers to complete activities before employee onboarding, including:
    • Capturing candidate information.
    • Uploading and verifying documents.
    • Managing approvals.
Onboarding (employee self-service)

PeopleSoft delivered an onboarding tile for employee tasks such as:

  • Applying for ID cards and visiting cards.
  • Updating PAN, Aadhaar, photo, and contact details.
