Customer comments
Hennepin County went live with Oracle Guided Learning in July 2024. We have deployed Oracle Guided Learning across our PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, and ELM systems. We first began by deploying smart tips and expanded to deploying messaging and learning guides. We went live with messaging and learning guides in Sept 2024.
It was a phased approach of leveraging smart tips to address key problem areas like expense reports and learning catalog. We have continued deploying smart tips to other areas as the organization has seen how beneficial they are to our community. We confirmed our benefit by monitoring the delivered dashboards for each OGL activity. We most recently deployed learning guides in which we leveraged a security table so that only activities the user has security access to perform are shown in the list of available guides. We continue to roll out more guides, tips, and other OGL tools as the business areas see a need.
Leveraging Oracle Guided Learning has allowed us to bring the help where people need it and when they need it—within the application itself, instead of looking in SharePoint for the information. We no longer maintain a bunch of Word documents. Use of Oracle Guided Learning has been a time saver for Hennepin County’s PeopleSoft technical team and for the end users.
