Customer comments

The National Shared Services Office (NSSO), in conjunction with our partner BearingPoint, recently completed an upgrade from PeopleSoft HCM 8.8 to PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.59. This included an implementation of Absence Management.

The project required the isolation and retrofitting of all invasive customizations within the system. This was close to 60 functional requirements. This was achieved using event mapping, drop zones, the acknowledgement framework, AWE, and Approval Page Composer. This will assist the organization’s selective adoption strategy going forward.

National Shared Services Office adopted the fluid UI as part of the project. This included:

  • The implementation of fluid homepages and tiles for self-service users and administrators. We leveraged tile filtering techniques to dynamically update user’s tile content.
  • The use of fluid navigation collections for administrators.
  • The creation of several fluid activity guides and components for customer specific employee schemes.
  • The adoption of fluid approvals.
  • Delivery of pivot grids and analytics to allow managers to review and manage employee sick leave.

The NSSO also implemented several new features such as remote worker, fluid company directory and the team calendar (including a custom event to overlay with employee’s daily remote worker status).

We have also adopted Elasticsearch for search-based navigation and deployed several new indexes for bolt on components.
