OPENLANE deployed OpenSearch and configurable search

OPENLANE upgraded their PeopleSoft Financials system to PeopleTools 8.60.10 and PeopleSoft FSCM Image 48. During this upgrade, in conjunction with their partner Sierra Cedar, OPENLANE deployed OpenSearch and configurable search. OPENLANE is deploying search in their PeopleSoft system for the first time. Configurable search was initially used to remove a customization for vendor search before expanding it to other components. Search is also presently used for menu navigation. There is a plan to expand this to transactional search in the future. Deploying OpenSearch in their PeopleSoft system has resulted in improved user experience for OPENLANE.

Additionally, OPENLANE replaced their classic asset management WorkCenter with the fluid version. They rolled out fluid approvals for electronic funds transfers, allowing them to transition this process to their shared service partner. With the use of Page Composer to enhance the journal approval process, approvers can now utilize fluid approvals and take advantage of the automatic journal posting.
