PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF)

The State of Indiana, in conjunction with their partner WorkStream Technology, has automated 84% of their test cases using PeopleSoft Test Framework. This has contributed to reducing unit testing time by 58% and time taken to uptake a new PeopleSoft image by 43%.

AARP, in conjunction with their implementation partner Astute Business Solutions, has used PeopleSoft Test Framework to create end-to-end automated test scripts for asset management, eProcurement, expenses, purchasing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and general ledger modules. AARP started to use PTF in 2016, and since then, AARP has been using it consistently for PeopleTools upgrades, PUM updates, database upgrades, new business unit implementations, and more. Using PTF has resulted in increased coverage and increased accuracy of results, has reduced testing cycle times by 50%, and has resulted in 70% resource savings.

Kaiser Permanente has heavily invested in using PeopleSoft Test Framework for 70-80% of systems integration testing. They also worked with their key business stakeholders to reduce the amount of testing that they need to perform by having their SIT and functional support teams do the "lion's share" of the testing. The business stakeholders then validate the results.

Powers Health automated more than 1,000 test cases using PeopleSoft Test Framework to execute end-to-end functional testing of 75% of the healthcare business processes with built-in validations. Their automated testing methodology has allowed them to stay current with the latest PeopleSoft updates and save the business hundreds of hours of manual testing. They developed a dashboard to provide visibility to management into the testing automation with real-time results.
