This involved over 150 TB in data transferred from approximately 2,000 servers, 100 databases, and 100 applications including PeopleSoft.

TriNet, in conjunction with their partner Astute Business Solutions, migrated their entire workload including their PeopleSoft application to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This involved over 150 TB in data transferred from approximately 2,000 servers, 100 databases, and 100 applications including PeopleSoft. TriNet has deployed a multi-region disaster recovery solution and are using the ZFS storage appliance and file shares.
Overall, TriNet migrated:
- 550 VMWare servers to OVCS (Oracle Cloud VMware Solution on OCI).
- 25 Exadata databases to ExaCS (Exadata Cloud Service).
- On-premises containers to OKE (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Container Engine for Kubernetes).
- OCVS to native OCI using RackWare and Oracle ISV.
TriNet is continuing its journey on OCI to optimize their cloud footprint and develop microservices and APIs to modernize their SaaS platform.
