Customer comments
University of Florida Health upgraded to PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 / PeopleTools 8.55.12 and were brave enough to adopt Elasticsearch even though it was just introduced and had some early bugs. We executed a 10-month upgrade cycle which started in fall of 2016 and ended in summer of 2017. While we were working on this upgrade, we were also dealing with a tight timeline with new clinical and non-clinical endeavors.
UF Health had two new hospitals coming up in Gainesville and the Jacksonville, Florida area with over 1,000 open positions to fill. The HR team was heavily dependent on PeopleSoft recruiting solutions and the successful implementation of Elasticsearch.
Delays to the project were not an option. During these 10 months, we partnered continually and efficiently with Oracle and SmartERP, which helped with fixing bugs and making Elasticsearch a more mature product for us and for our peers in the industry. We were glad to be part of the journey of innovation with Oracle, which was an enriching and positive experience for everyone involved.
