PeopleSoft Financials Insights has transformed the way Western University manages and monitors student and guest expense claims.

Western University is currently using PeopleSoft Insights to monitor and perform statistical analysis on the performance, content, and usage of self-service expense claim transactions across the enterprise. Analytics include transaction volumes, claim status, error and correction rates, and time-to-completion.

By consolidating key metrics into interactive visualizations, the dashboard delivers transparency, efficiency, and accountability across the entire process.

Row-level security is configured within the search definition, allowing faculty and unit administrators to filter by department, project, approver, status, or claimant to quickly identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows.

Claimants benefit from real-time visibility into the exact status of their claims, including approval steps and payment details, reducing uncertainty and follow-up inquiries.

System administrators now have a powerful tool to monitor institution-wide trends, track processing times, and detect workflow issues such as delayed approvals.

This has streamlined operations, empowered users at every level, and is expected to reduce the volume of help desk calls and emails. The result is faster, more efficient processing, improved decision-making, and a better overall experience for faculty, staff, and students.
