Oracle Identity Manager 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.3.0) includes the following new and changed self service features for this document.
New skin in Identity Self Service provides a new look and feel. It contains three Home pages: Self Service, Compliance, and Manage. See Chapter 1, "Overview of the Oracle Identity Self Service Interface".
The options available in Self Service home page and how to use them are listed in Part II, "Working with Self Service".
The options available in Compliance home page and how to use them are listed in Part III, "Working with Compliance".
The Compliance home page is available when Oracle Identity Manager is deployed with Identity Auditor mode enabled.
The options available in Manage home page and how to use them are listed in Part IV, "Working with Identity Administration".
Various self service and identity administration tasks can be performed by using wizards available in Identity Self Service. Some examples of such tasks are accessing request for self and others, and creating roles. See subsequent sections for information about these tasks. For example, see Chapter 16, "Managing Roles" for information about creating roles by using the Create Role wizard.
The access catalog has a new interface and flow. See Chapter 6, "Requesting Access".
The access catalog provides the Start Date and End Date fields for specifying the grant duration of roles, accounts, and entitlements to self or other users. See Section 6.4, "Adding and Removing Grant Duration". More information about this feature is available in Chapter 5, "Managing Access for Self", which describes temporal grants for roles, entitlements, and accounts that allows users to specify grant duration.
The Unified Inbox can be used to manage pending approval tasks, provisioning tasks, certification tasks, and audit violation tasks. See Section 7, "Using the Unified Inbox".
When Oracle Identity Manager is deployed with Identity Auditor mode enabled:
You can access and take action on pending violation tasks. See Chapter 11, "Managing Pending Violations".
The Identity Audit feature is used to detect Segregation of Duties (DoS) violations. See Chapter 14, "Managing Identity Audit".
Various role life cycle information can be viewed, such as role history and role analytics. See Chapter 16, "Managing Roles".
The new authorization model provides flexibility to create a new admin role and select the capabilities for these admin roles. See Chapter 18, " Managing Administration Roles". In addition, admin role capabilities and self capabilities available in Oracle Identity Manager are listed in Appendix B, "Functional Capabilities".
Password policy management includes setting password policy rules, and creating, searching, and deleting password policies. See Chapter 19, "Managing Password Policies".
