To build software on the Oracle Solaris OS, you must install the tools you need on your development system. Whether you want to use the standard tools that are bundled in Oracle Solaris, or use the Oracle Developer Studio6 tools, you must first install the appropriate Oracle Solaris software for a developer environment.
