Channel Restrictions

Use the channel restrictions conversion screen to map OPERA restriction types to the GDS/ADS equivalent.

Select System Configuration>Channels>Channel Restrictions. The Channel Restrictions Conversion screen opens.

Click New or Edit to open the Restriction Type mapping screen. Select the Restriction Type used in OPERA, then the associated Channel Restriction Type from the list of values. The Channel Restriction Type list of values are predefined according to SWITCH specifications (see Channel Management SID Data). Specify a begin date for when this restriction is to take effect and, optionally, enter an end date.

Note that GDS hosts understand four basic restrictions:

Close (HVC)
Open (HVO)
On Request (HVR)
Close to Arrival (HVA)
