Inactivate or Reactivate an Account

Accounts may be inactivated or reactivated directly from the Account Profile by selecting Reservations>Profiles from PMS, or Customer Management>Accounts from S&C.

Profiles can be inactivated by un-selecting the Active check box. The status of the account is also displayed in the lower left hand corner of the screen by the Active/Inactive Lamp in blue. To reactivate the account, just select the Active check box.

When the Active check box is unselected it becomes necessary to select an Inactive Reason from a predefined list of values before this change can be applied. See Configuring Inactive Reasons for more details. If you make an account inactive, you are prompted to either make the associated contacts inactive as well or leave the contacts as active and break the relationship between the inactive account and the active contact. You must select one of the available choices in this dialog in order to complete the de-activation of the account.

Note: Inactivating an account is not the same as deleting an account. When an account is inactivated it will still display when searching for an account profile; a deleted account will not.
