Member Awards - Issue Award

The Issue Award screen provides a display of the award you selected in the Awards Based On Rate, Product, or Upgrade screens. This screen contains details of the award you want to grant. Review the information relevant to the award and enter the PMS reservation number or the ORS booking number for the stay during which the award redemption will be made. Select the Issue Award button to grant the award.

Note: Awards Based on Other are issued by selecting the Export Info button on the Member Award Based on Other Availability screen.

Screen Description

The Issue Award screen displays the total number of award points required per stay date and the penalty if cancelled. Additionally, the screen displays the total number of points required for the entire stay (if multiple nights). At the bottom of the screen is a message, highlighted in blue, that reminds you of how many points remain for the member after the award is issued.

Membership Details

Membership Type.  The membership program code.

Level.  The tier level of the membership.

Card No. The card ID number on the membership card.

Name on Card. The name on the membership card. This name may differ from the guest's name (for example, if the membership is sponsored by a company).

Join Date. The date the member joined the membership program.

Expiry Date. The membership expiration date.

Points Available. The total award points available for redemption.

Award Based On. Indicates whether you are redeeming points for a rate award, an upgrade award, or a product award (as indicated by the Award Based On selection you made).

Reservation Details

Property. Property (code) at which the award will be issued.

PMS Resv. No. Enter the PMS Reservation number. This number is required if the ORS Book No. is not included.

ORS Book No. Enter the ORS Booking number. This number is required if the PMS Resv. No. is not included.

Arrival Date/Departure Date. The arrival and departure dates of the reservation associated with the award.

Rate Code. The rate code associated with the award. (Visible if the award is based on Rate.)

Room Category. Code for the room type in which the award was issued. (Visible if the award is based on Rate.)

Product. The code for the product associated with the award. (Visible if the award is based on Product.)

From Room/To Room. The room upgrade code for the original room and the room that was upgraded for the award. (Visible if the award is based on Upgrade.)

Award Details Grid

Stay Date. The date of the reservation associated with the award. There may be more than one date (multiple nights) associated with award.

Points Required. The number of award points required for this award for the date.

Penalty Points. The award points that will be deducted (based on a cancel days restriction) if the award is cancelled. (Cancel days, set up in awards configuration, establish the number of days before arrival when a reservation may be cancelled without an award points penalty.)

Penalty Days. The cancel days, set up in awards configuration, that establish the number of days before arrival when a reservation may be cancelled without an award points penalty.

Award Issue No. An identifying number of the award, assigned by the system when the award was issued.

Total. The total number of points required for the entire stay (including all the dates).

Tabs

Rate Description/Room Description. (Visible if awarded based on Rate). Text descriptions of the rate and room for this award.

From Room/To Room. (Visible if awarded based on Upgrade). Text descriptions of the Room Type prior to the award upgrade and of the Room Type based on the award upgrade.

Product Description.  (Visible if awarded based on Product). Text description of the product used for this award.

Button

Issue Award. Select the Issue Award button to grant the award. An issue number is automatically generated and displayed. The member's total points are automatically diminished by the number of award points redeemed. The award will now display in the Member Award List screen.

Note: If you attempt to issue an award that requires more points than what the member has, a message appears informing you that there are not enough points.
