Overriding a Closed Rate

Note: All actions that are completed in this process will be recorded in the User Activity Log.

A rate code that has been closed, will display with Closed in the Rate Query Details grid.

When highlighting this Closed Rate Code and selecting the OK button, a message prompt is displayed for notification for the reason that the rate code is closed and to make sure that the user wants to override the rate.

Selecting No will return the user to the Rate Query Details screen. But selecting Yes will complete one of the following actions:

1. If the user who selected Yes has been granted the appropriate permissions to complete the action, then the reservation process will continue.
2. But if the user has not been granted one of the following permissions (this would be based on the override/overbooking action the user is trying to complete):
   • Reservations>Override Rate Code
   • Reservations>Overbook House
   • Reservations>Overbook Room Type

   Then a login prompt is displayed in order for a user that has been granted the appropriate override/overbook permissions, to complete the action before the reservation process can be completed.
