Business Rules for Sending and Receiving Reservations between V3 and ORS

In ORS a reservation always takes from availability when confirmed (except for waitlist)

All reservations are uploaded and downloaded.

Multi leg reservations are downloaded, if the following applies:

Reservations created in ORS can be modified and cancelled at PMS.

Reservations cannot be deleted at the PMS or in ORS.

Waitlist reservations will be downloaded to waitlist tables in the PMS, when waitlisted reservations in the CRS are changed to BOOKED, the Interface will update accordingly in the PMS. If the reservation is ‘moved’ to confirmed at the PMS, the reservation at the ORS is updated.

The ORS supports (day use), therefore, day use reservations will be accepted from PMS.

Once checked-in a reservation can no longer be changed at ORS. However, changes made from the PMS are uploaded.

Share reservations with multiple rooms will not be supported.

Shares created at property level:

All other (PMS share) functionality will be supported at the PMS and uploaded for informational purposes only, such as:

The Interface uploads a reservation with the earliest arrival and latest departure date, if different arrival/departure dates exist for each sharer.

Any Shares created in ORS and modified at the property can again be changed in ORS.

Any Shares created in PMS can be modified in ORS, but they must have the same date and rate.

The break and combine function is available in ORS.

Shares can only have one rate attached to the one rate code for all sharers. If downloaded the first reservation will receive the full rate.

If a reservation is downloaded with no payment type, the Interface defaults to Cash.

Reservations created at the PMS can be modified and cancelled at the ORS

Walk-ins are uploaded in the same manner as other reservations.

Central Comments will be sent between V6 and ORS.

When V3 encounters a locked record in V6 while processing an XML message retrieved from OXI_HUB, it rejects the message and sends a requeue request to OXI_HUB.
