Credit Card Transaction Log
The Credit Card Transaction Log is accessed from the Reservation or Billing options Credit Cards>Credit Card History button>Log button (or via Configuration>Setup>Property Interfaces>Credit Card Interface>Credit Card Configuration Setup screen>Log button) and is used to track all of the credit card transactions that have been processed for one or multiple properties. Information that is displayed here depends on which credit card vendor interface (Southern DataComm, Global Card Services, Merchant Link, etc) the property is using. Each vendor interface contains their own specific information in the request, response, and error and how this information is arranged in the transaction details.
Note: All the information displayed in this help topic is based on a property using the Southern DataComm (SDC) credit card vendor. If using another credit card vendor, then the transaction information will appear different than displayed here.
Property. Available when the MHOT Multi-property add on license code is active and the CC Web Interface Transaction Log screen is accessed from the Credit Card Configuration Setup screen. Select the down arrow to choose the property for which you wish to see credit card transactions.
Request Date. Type or select the Calendar button to enter the date the credit card transaction was requested.
Transaction ID. A Single Select LOV, select the down arrow to choose a specific transaction ID number to search for.
Resv Name ID. Select the down arrow to choose a specific reservation name ID to search for. When this screen is called from the Reservation Options>Credit Cards>Credit Card History path, the Resv Name ID defaults to the current reservation and cannot be changed. The records displayed here are related only to this reservation.
Trans ID. Transaction ID number automatically assigned to the credit card transaction.
Property. Property from which the credit card transaction was originated.
Resv Name. ID number assigned to the reservation.
Req. Date. Date the credit card transaction was requested by the property.
Request. Request information sent for the credit card transaction is displayed.
Resp. Date. Date the property received information back about the credit card transaction.
Response. Response information for the credit card transaction is displayed.
Session Info. At the time of the transaction, the session running when the transaction was created.
Error. When an error (e.g., a communications error) occurs with the transaction, specific details about the error are displayed in this column.
Search. Select to search for the specified transaction according to the search criteria entered. If no criteria is entered, then all of the credit card transaction are displayed.
Details. Select to display details for the selected transaction in the results grid (See Transaction Details below for details).
Close. Select to close out of the credit card transaction log.
