Understanding the Rate Codes Area of the Rates Screen

The Rate Codes area displays the rate codes available based on the search criteria entered by the user. Place your cursor on a rate code to configure with that rate codes. The information displayed in the Rate Header, Rate Details, Availability, and Channel Management areas change based on the rate code selected in the grid.

Adding New Rate Codes from the Rate Code Template

To add a new rate code to your property, follow these steps:

Select the New Rate button in the Rate Codes area. The Rate Code Selection screen appears.

The rate codes displayed are configured in the Rate Code Template in ORS (Configuration>Rate Management>Rate Classifications>Rate Code Template).

Select the rate code from the list of values and select the OK button. The Rate Setup - New screen appears.

Create the rate header configuration, as necessary, and select the Save button. The Rate Setup - New screen changes to the Rate Setup - Edit screen.
Note: The field labels that are in bold must be filled-in.
Select the Rate Detail tab and modify the rate details, as necessary, and select the Save button.
If necessary, select the Negotiated, More, and Contract Info tabs and complete the required fields.
When you have completely finished configuring the rate, select the Save button and then select the Close button. The rate appears in the Rate Codes area.
