Understanding the Rate Header Area of the Rates Screen
The Rate Header area displays basic rate header information, as entered in the Rate Header.
Description. The rate code description.
Rate Category. The rate category.
Begin Date. The first date that this rate code is available for sale.
End Date. The last date that this rate code is available for sale.
Market Code. The market code list of values from OCM>Configuration>Market Codes configured for your property. The market code on the Rate Header defaults to the Reservation>Market Code field.
Source Code. The source code list of values from OCM>Configuration>Source Codes configured for your property. The market code on the Rate Header defaults to the Reservation>Source Code field.
Channel Allowed. An indication of whether or not this selected rate is available for sale through the channel selected in the Channel Management area.
Package. An indication of whether a package element is attached to the rate code.
Transaction Tax Included. An indication of whether the transaction code posting is to be inclusive or exclusive of tax and other generates.
Policies. Select this button to access the Deposit Rules Schedule screen and configure rule schedules.
Edit. Select this button to access the Header tab of the Rate Setup - Edit screen and edit the rate header information.
Copy. Select this button to copy the selected rate code to other properties. OCM prompts, "Copy rate code XXX to other properties?". Select the Yes button to continue. The "Copy" Options screen appears.
Repeat. Select this button to repeat the rate/room combinations to the same property.
