Profile Match & Merge (PMS)

Users at the property level in PMS can match and merge profiles in their database that are 10 days or older from when they were entered/updated, in batch process, using Profile Match & Merge. This feature is similar to the Background Processor Profile Automerge process in ORS, but is only available in PMS if the OPR<version number>ORS license code is not active. Likewise, this feature is not available in ORS as the Background Processor is used for profile merging instead. The Profile Match & Merge (PMS) feature is accessible in PMS by selecting Utilities>Processors>Profile Match Merge.

Prior to running the Profile Match & Merge process, the auto merge rule (criteria for matching and merging profiles) must be set up in Application Settings>Profiles>Auto Merge Rule:

Profile Match & Merge Screen

At the Profile Match & Merge Status screen you can start the match and merge process, view the status of the job, and stop the process if necessary. Only one merge process is run at a time.

Columns are populated once the Start button has been selected.

Display Grid

Started By. Displays the Oracle user (schema name) who started the match and merge process.

Started On. Displays the date when the match and merge process was started.

Started At. Displays the time the match and merge process was started.

Status. Displays the status of the match and merge process, such as Waiting or Running. If the Status column is blank, then the processor is not running.

Buttons

Start. Start the match and merge process in the schema.

Stop. Stop the match and merge process.

Refresh Data. Refresh the data on the Profile Match & Merge Status screen.

Close. Close the Profile Match & Merge Status screen.
