Profile Match & Merge (PMS)
Users at the property level in PMS can match and merge profiles in their database that are 10 days or older from when they were entered/updated, in batch process, using Profile Match & Merge. This feature is similar to the Background Processor Profile Automerge process in ORS, but is only available in PMS if the OPR<version number>ORS license code is not active. Likewise, this feature is not available in ORS as the Background Processor is used for profile merging instead. The Profile Match & Merge (PMS) feature is accessible in PMS by selecting Utilities>Processors>Profile Match Merge.
Prior to running the Profile Match & Merge process, the auto merge rule (criteria for matching and merging profiles) must be set up in Application Settings>Profiles>Auto Merge Rule:
At the Profile Match & Merge Status screen you can start the match and merge process, view the status of the job, and stop the process if necessary. Only one merge process is run at a time.
