When a guest checks out, the Reinstate button is available from the Billing screen for the remainder of the current business date. If the Cashiering>Open Folio application parameter is set to Y, the Reinstate Options screen appears when Reinstate is selected from the Billing screen.
This screen gives you the option to reopen the checked out guest's folio, or reinstate the checked out guest.
Reinstate. Reinstate the guest without reopening the folio that was closed at guest checkout.
Reopen. Reopen the folio without reinstating the guest. The Reinstate button will be available from the Billing screen if you decide to reinstate the guest. (This button is available if your user permissions allow you to Reopen Folio.)
