Travel Agent Profiles Configuration Codes

Automatic default values for Travel Agent Profiles (TAP) can be created in ORS and sent to PMS with the Travel Agent profile. Access the TAP Configuration Codes functionality through Setup>Configuration>Profile>External IFC>TAP Configuration Codes>New/Edit. The TAP values appear on the property level with every new and modified Travel Agent Profile. In ORS, these values will not be inserted in the Travel Agent profile. If a client does not want the defaults to be used, they must delete the values from the TAP Configuration Codes screen.

The only time a Travel Agent profile supersedes the default TAP values is when the Travel Agent profile has a specific Bank Account and Commission set up in the Stats. & Info tab on the Profile screen (Profiles>Profiles>New or Edit>Stats & Info).

• The system checks for TAP values for Property and Country, and no duplicates are allowed. Priority and restrictions are set as follows (from the lowest/general to the highest/specific):
• Commission and Currency.
• Country, Commission and Currency.
• Property, Commission and Currency.
• Property, Country, Commission and Currency.

Search Criteria

To search for existing TAP configuration codes to view or edit, select the Search button after the following search criteria has been entered.

Property. The property code of the property's commission you wish to view.

Country. The country code of the property and country's commission you wish to view.

Commission. The commission amount to be viewed.

Currency. The currency code you wish to view.

Show Inactive. Select this check box to display inactive commissions.

Grid

Property. The property code portion of the TAP configuration code.

Country. The country code portion of the TAP configuration code.

Commission. The commission code portion of the TAP configuration code.

Currency. The currency code portion of the TAP configuration code.

Buttons

Delete. Select this button to delete the highlighted TAP Configuration Code.

New. Select this button to create a new TAP Configuration Code. The TAP Configuration Codes - New screen appears.

Edit. Select this button to create a new TAP Configuration Code. The TAP Configuration Codes - Edit screen appears.

Creating and Editing TAP Configuration Codes

When the New or Edit button is selected, the TAP Configuration Codes - New or Edit screen appears. Here you may either create a new TAP configuration code or edit an existing one. You may enter from less restrictive to most restrictive:

• Commission and Currency.
• Country, Commission and Currency.
• Property, Commission and Currency.
• Property, Country, Commission and Currency.

Select the Inactive check box when you want to make the TAP configuration code inactive. When it is inactive, users can enter commission codes in the Stats. & Info tab on the Profile screen.

Select the OK button to save the TAP configuration code.
