All of the cells in the top row have been merged.
Tip: You could also have selected the cells in the top row and used the Merge Cells command in the Cell menu. However, working with HTML tables is not like working with Word tables. You cannot easily select blank cells. If you need to select blank cells for formatting, it is often best to type a single character in the blank cells to function as placeholders.
